Many people choose to go to a Caribbean island when they plan their cruises. Many Caribbean islands have attractions that the person will enjoy during their cruises, such as beautiful beaches, unspoiled tropical forests, local foods, and live music.

There are many historic cities that have been preserved by the countries to turn them into the perfect destinations for cruises. Most of these places try to keep the original historic feel of the city by keeping the original architecture and restoring any areas of the city that has fallen into disrepair. The facilities of these cities will have been upgraded to provide all of the modern conveniences but these conveniences are often hidden from direct sight so they do not disrupt the natural feel of the area. Some historic cities have been turned into premiere tourist destinations by their leaders in order to be more attractive to people that are looking for a destination for their cruises.
