Trawler Charters

The trawler is an awesome boat.  It is known for its roominess and stability.  The next best thing to owning one would be to do a trawler charter.  It is a great way to sail along some of the wonderful coastlines on earth.  Trawler charters are available in the Pacific Northwest and in Florida.  You can also hire a trawler charter in the Mediterranean, the Caribbean or in Australia.

Trawler charters have several sizes to choose from.  The 43 foot trawler has all the amenities and power to suit most people’s needs.  Your time aboard is guaranteed to be luxurious with a large main salon and full galley.  The flybridge is also large and welcoming and a great place to relax under the large bimini cover.

One of the 43 foot trawler charters is perfect for 3 couples or a family.  It has three staterooms and two full heads with showers.  The aft deck is great for sunbathing.  There is also a large transom door that opens to a spacious swim platform.

With the dark wood of the interior walls and cabinets, down to the well maintained wood flooring, the trawler oozes with charm.  Trawler charters are fun and exciting and like no other vacation you have been on before.  Coordinating and booking flights to and from the trawler’s location would be the hardest part of the trip.  For a little extra, some charter companies will even do that for you making sure everything falls perfectly into place.

Have you ever owned a trawler or other boat and are an experienced sailor?  A great money saving idea is to do a bareboat charter.  This would allow you more flexibility and privacy.  There are, however certain qualifications that the chartering company would require you to fulfill.

If you are not an experienced sailor or just want to relax and let the captain do the sailing there are plenty of excellent captains willing to sail your trawler for you.   You will be able to enjoy the pleasures of a boat cruise without having to operate the vessel yourself.  The captain would retain responsibility for the vessel.  There is usually an advanced payment required to book any trawler charter.

The highly trained captain will pilot your trawler charter to many picturesque ports-of-call on either the Eastern or Western coasts.  There is so much to see and do.  Your captain will be familiar with the various ports and be able to educate you on the restaurants and things to do.

The San Juan Islands in the Pacific Northwest are varied and beautiful.  You will be able to see an abundance of wildlife such as bear, whales, and eagles.  If you like, you will be able to fish for salmon and halibut, go crabbing, and gather oysters.

You can dine ashore or use the galley and dining facilities on the trawler.  You can remain aboard your comfortable trawler charter at night, in the privacy of the spacious cabin, or stay ashore at your own expense.

The trawler charter’s fees usually include the following: the fully equipped trawler, linens and towels, the captain, the modern galley with all the amenities, fuel, and dock fees.  Extras would be items such as meals ashore and taxes.  Some charter companies will allow you to bring your own food and beverages aboard and you are allowed full use of the galley.
